In Vintage Chinese Posters one finds a curious mixture of Eastern themes with Western cultural influences and painting techniques. This mixture of ideas and techniques created what is today known as Chinese Calendar Posters, Chinese Lady Posters or simply as Shanghai Posters. The printing technique referred to as lithography that the Europeans brought with them to China in the late eighteenhundreds made it all possible.
