China's "Cancer Villages" Pay Heavy Price for Economic Progress: Sitting on his bed in his spartan house in one of China's so-called cancer villages, a 77-year-old retired cadre sheds tears as he speaks of the pollution he believes is killing him. "I just hope I can die sooner. I gave my life to the Communist Party yet I have nothing now, I have nothing to leave to my own children," the man said, tears rolling down his cheeks.

yeah, let's keep helping this country, let's not label them a currency munipulator so they can continue stealing our jobs, let's continue saying it's the low cost labor, let's not put any pressure on their human rights policy, after all they only practiced genocide on 60M of their own people since the end of WWII, forget about their non-respect for the ecology, and heavens to betsy, we might need them to pressure iran and north korea, kinda makes you want to puke your guts out doesn't it

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of Communism, more palatable offshoots of which (e.g., socialism, statism) have taken up residence in the so-called progressive movement.
